Claire Henderson : Principal
Claire graduated with L.L.B(Hons) in 2001 from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.
Claire graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Laws Equivalency Certificate in 2005, she completed a Graduate Certificate of Legal Practice in 2005 and was admitted to practice to the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2006.
Claire is Scottish, she became an Australian citizen in January 2009. Claire was admitted to practice in 2006 and is also admitted to the High Court of Australia.
Claire is an experienced lawyer who has many years experience dealing with client’s cases. Claire works in fields of Family law, criminal law, conveyancing, estate law and court matters generally. Claire regularly appears in both Federal and State courts.
Claire is also an Independent Children’s Lawyer for the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and is a Separate Representative in the Magistrates Court (Children’s Division).
Claire is a member of Amnesty International and is a Volunteer Author for Thomson Reuters Legal Australia where she prepares written headnotes for the Supreme Court of Tasmania judgments.
David Walker : Senior Consultant
David was admitted to practice in Queensland in 1971 and Tasmania in 1984.
David has extensive experience in Family Law, Civil Litigation, Commercial, Conveyancing, Testators Family Maintenance, Estates and Wills.
Amy Walsh : Senior Associate Lawyer
Amy graduated from a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Law at the University of Tasmania in 2013 and was admitted to practice in August 2014.
Amy joined this firm in February 2015 and has since been working in the areas of family law, conveyancing, criminal law and wills and estates. Amy regularly appears in the Federal Circuit Court, Family Court of Australia and Magistrates Court of Tasmania on behalf of clients.
Amy currently sits as Chairperson of the Management Committee of the North West Community Legal Centre and is also a member of the North West Young Lawyers Committee and the Family Lawyers Practitioners Association of Tasmania.
Maria Churchill : Senior Legal Secretary/Conveyancing Clerk
Maria has been working in the legal industry since 2005 and has previously worked for a local authority in administration.
